What is the annual leave allowance for a Wholetime Firefighter?

Annual leave allowance for a Wholetime Firefighter is 23 days plus 8 bank holiday days. This increases after 5 years’ service to 26 days plus 8 bank holiday days.

When do the benefits start?

You will be entitled to the service employee benefits as soon as you become an employee.

What is the employer’s contribution to the pension scheme?

The employer contribution into the scheme is 37.6%, however this is to maintain the funding level of the scheme, rather than the individual’s benefits.

Are there any restrictions on transferring over a Military pension?
