Date: 23rd July, 2024
Following the success of CPR and defibrillator awareness sessions held by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in Swindon earlier this year, more are now being organised in Bournemouth.
Redhill Park fire station, in Redhill Avenue, has two dates planned for the coming weeks.
These will be as follows, and there’s no need to book:
- 27 July between 6.30pm and 8.30pm
- 10 August between 10am and 12noon
There will also be the opportunity to look around the fire station and get home fire safety advice.
Group Manager Ant Bholah, who manages the fire stations in BCP, said: “With more and more publicly available defibrillators now installed in our local communities, our aim is to give people the confidence to step in if they see someone collapse. These sessions have been extremely well received elsewhere, so I’m grateful to Firefighter Janine McCumiskey for organising these. We look forward to welcoming lots of people to Redhill Park to gain this potentially life-saving awareness.”
