Small animal rescue – Westbury

Description: A water rescue wading team from Trowbridge responded to the lake at Slag Lane in Westbury, following a request from the RSPCA. A mallard duck was seen struggling to stay afloat after its feet became tangled in fishing wire. The firefighters are specially trained to enter water and work safely. The duck was rescued from the lake and handed to the RSPCA inspector.
