Description: 7:25pm - Our crews from Wimborne, Poole and Verwood were mobilised to a heath fire on the Cannon Hill Plantation, Wimborne. Initially the first crew from Wimborne were sent but then contacted Control by radio to ask for a heavy off road appliance and 2 land rovers fitted with firefighting equipment. This meant that the second crew from Wimborne were despatched along with firefighting land rover crews from Poole and Verwood. The fire measured approximately 30m x 20m and was extinguished using beaters, backpacks and a hose reel jet.
