Overview Christchurch is crewed on the shift system, so there are four wholetime watches (Blue, Green, Red and White), each working two days, two nights and four days off in a pattern.
There is also an on-call watch, which trains on station every Thursday night. See the tab below to find out more about being an on-call firefighter.
