Description: We were called at 3:44am to Henry Street, Swindon to reports of a building fire. Crews from Swindon, Stratton, Westlea, Royal Wootton Bassett, Cricklade, Devizes, Marlborough, Ramsbury, Chippenham and the aerial platform ladder from Swindon attended. On arrival, crews found a well-developed fire within the building which is being tackled using two main lines, hose reel jets and the ALP.
This is likely to be a protracted incident and crews will be at the scene for some time.

6:00am - Fleet St, Holbrook Way and Milford Street are currently inaccessible but Bus Boulevard should be reopened by 9.30am.
8:50am - Holbrook Way, Milford Street and Bus Boulevard have now been reopened.
10:37am - Incident has now been scaled back to 2 pumping appliances, the aerial ladder platform and support unit.
12:02pm – At the height of the incident we had approximately 50 firefighters on scene working to get the fire under control.
The utilities were isolated and 50% of the building was destroyed by the fire. The reinspection will be taking place at 6:30pm and the cause is currently under investigation. Our stop was in at 12.02pm today (7 November).
